Oh Jesse, you were the sweetest boy cousin. So many stories, I cannot pick one. From age 3 you played with me and Mr Cloudy, catching frogs for Dad and Uncle Pete with Danny, or Jesse the fire bug when the fathers did the annual Spring grass burn in the field, to the sadness that struck us throughout the years, we laughed, reminisced, valued our few times a year visit, the endless teasing and joking, the deep conversations about growing old and caring for our parents which he did without complaining. Jesse was treasured by my family, especially Dad when he and Brett took him out on the deer run and brought a chair when it was his last hunt and was too ill to stand. The music years filled great music, band on the road, endless stories with Jesse chasing his ladies & serious Jesse trying to get his music promoted. Watching Jesse take such great care of Aunt Nellie with meal care with her diabetes making all the dishes to aid her in comfort, tending to the care of Brett, the house and the gardens, warmed my heart and all who knew this about him.
Jesse, you worked so hard in this life and deserved more from this life, but I take comfort in knowing you’re in a beautiful place now surrounded by love and your bounty will be very richly rewarded in all ways and you will want for nothing. In nature I will wait for you to say hello, I know you will find me and I will miss you and always hold you close in my heart. Rest in Peace Jesse <3

To Jesse’s family,
We send our deepest sympathy to all of you. Jesse was such a kind and gentle soul, we are happy to have known him. The family was so talented and we enjoyed their music every chance we got. We listened to him and his family at the Riverside Tavern in Port Severn many times. May the memories you have help you through this most difficult of times.

I met Jesse when I was 10 years old and he was 18. He was kind to children. I remember him teaching me how to hook suckers down by the locks. A few years later, he allowed me to hang out with the bigger kids who were diving off the locks. He kept one eye open to make sure I was okay. Later, there were other good stories as we both grew up. RIP.
