Obituary of William Bush

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Sunday April 28, 2013, in his 70th year. Bill was born to the late Reginald and Myrtle Bush (nee Addison) on June 5, 1943. He spent the winters of his childhood in Coldwater, riding ice chunks down the river, and the summers of his childhood, driving boats around Gloucester Pool and helping his parents run 'Bush's Boat Livery'. He met his wife Melissa at a young age, while driving her family by taxi boat to their cottage at the other end of the lake. They were wed in the spring of 1976, but Billy's first love, was and always will be an outboard marine motor. He could disassemble and reassemble with his eyes closed and using only half the bolts! Bill and Melissa welcomed a daughter Michelle, son Charles, and an infant daughter who is waiting in heaven for her daddy. Always a petite man, Billy made up for his size with his personality and courage to stand up for what he thought was right. He was never afraid to share his opinion. Billy was always a good friend, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. Due to ill health, Billy spent his retirement quietly watching the world go by, and immensely enjoying his 6 grandchildren. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Melissa (nee Toon), daughter Michelle and her husband Matthew Broga, son Charles and his wife Shawntel Lewis, his grandchildren Matthew, Alexander, Calleigh, Chloe, Charlotte and baby due later this year, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will honour his life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater (705-686-3344 or 1-888-645-5485) from 2-4 & 7-9pm Thursday. The funeral service will be held at Coldwater United Church, Coldwater on Friday May 3rd at 11am. Interment later at Coldwater Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Billy may be made to the Coldwater United Church.
