Obituary of Melvin Albertus "Mel" Metcalf

Passed away peacefully with family at his side at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Wednesday December 4, 2024 in his 81^st year of Elmvale.  Cherished and beloved husband of Sylvia Metcalf.  Loved father of Pamela Saranpaa (Martin), Sherri Seibel (Derek), Staci Roemer (Mark), and his bonus daughter Shanna Currie.  Loving grandfather of Aili (Jordan), Ate, Eva, Ellie, Joey, and Max.  Will be missed by his many cousins. 

Following cremation a Service of Remembrance will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 33 Shirley Ave., Barrie on Friday December 13^th at 11am. 

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Mel may be made to Hospice Simcoe, Barrie or to the “RVH” Hudson Regional Cancer Centre, Barrie and may be made through the Funeral Home.
