From the time I can remember I looked up to my father. We would be outside all year round. Dad would shovel paths for me to follow in the snow, we would garden in the spring, swim in the summer & rake leaves in the fall. He gave me the joy of just being outside, enjoying whatever weather. A father is the first man in his daughters life. For those of you who don't know I got married in April, I was so proud to have my dad there to see me take that step in my life. It was so important for me to have my parents there on my big day. I know it says share a story here but I cant just choose one. My dad was always the one constant person in my life. I am only 25 years old, what am I going to do without you dad? I am going to need your guidance/love for all of my life. I know I should be thankful that we had that many years together but I'm not. I'm a ball of emotions that cant seem to grip the fact that I'll never see you again, never kiss you, never tell you I love you, & never see that beautiful smile of yours. I have been looking at pictures every night just hoping that somewhere out there you can hear me. You can hear how much I am missing you. You had such a talent for making people smile. Everyone has been saying this to me over the past few days, I just hope I can be half the person you were. I will miss & love you everyday. Thanks for the rainbow the other day, it was beautiful.
