Passed away with her family at her side at the Georgian Bay General Hospital "Midland Site" on Monday August 29, 2011 at the age of 90, of Midland and formerly of Vasey. Beloved wife of Fred Hanmore. Loving mother of Stephen & his wife Bonnie of Midland, Jim of R.R.#1 Victoria Harbour and Peter & his wife Colette of Peterborough. Loved grandmother of Christina (Kelvin), Mark (Candice), Jennifer, and Stuart. Dear great grandmother of Cooper, Madison, and Calum. Sister of Jack Hodge and his wife Diane of Orillia. Predeceased by her sister Gladys Dean and by her brother Leslie Hodge. Following cremation, a private family graveside service will be held at the Vasey United Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Iris may be made to the Unity United Church, Vasey and may be made through the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater (705-686-3344 or 1-888-645-5485).
