I was thinking of the many memories I have of Aunt Irene from growing up so close in Coldwater and all the family gatherings and good times with all the cousins and aunts and uncles, the endless food and the music!
For all of us in the Kitchen Family we are very fortunate to have had such a large number of us. Looking back I feel blessed to have been part of such a close family. I know how much my mother loved her siblings and they loved her and I know that Aunt Irene's heart was broken many times in her many years, yet she carried on and I don't know that most would have had the strength she did.
I am sure she is resting peacefully because she sure deserves to.
Bye Aunt Irene

The Beacock family would like to express their sincere condolences to the Bannerman family. Our parents spent many nights walking across the back yards to enjoy the good times and music. Nadine and I spent many good times together. Irene was such a pleasant woman to know and she will be sadly missed by many. May peace be with you all.

Nadine, Betty-Anne, Joan,
Our deepest sympathies. I spent a lot of time at Aunt Irene's when Johnny and I were young. We did manage to be good the odd time. It was a meeting place where we played 'red light, green light' and 'hide and seek'. She gave us cookies. I know this is a very difficult time and I wish I could say the magic word that would make you feel better and take some of the pain away. Just know that we are thinking of you and of fond memories of Aunt Irene.
Love always,
Ted and Lynn Kitchen

I was so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I spoke to her a few weeks ago at Mary's party and she was her old self interested in everything and everyone. You are so lucky to have had your mom for this amount of time and that she was as chipper as usual. Her memory was amazing!
I know she was very proud of all her children and the care you have given her over the years. Please take care of yourselves and know that there is another angel on your shoulder.
