If I had my way I would certainly be there in person to say farewell to our Stuey.
There are so many happy memories of growing up with Stu, and also a few not so happy. For instance, being reminded every day by my brother as a young teenager how thick my eyebrows were where it got to the point I went to an electrologist to have them thinned out once. Stu nicknamed me “the Brow”. Also, he never let up on the fact that I also was bow legged. He went as far as to get a tape and measure the inches where my knees didn’t tough each other. On the other hand , we had great fun times playing games together accusing each other of cheating, trying to beat each other, and just plain ordinary good times together. He had nick names for us all
Betty – was “The Boss”
Roy – Black-Headed Crow
Bill – Bully Beef
Stu – Pea Headed Nanny Goat
Pat – Fat Ass
Ross – Bambie Legs
Mary – The Brow
All in all, Stu was a fun loving, kind, generous, terrific brother who kept me supplied in frogs. He was always the life of the party and we will miss him every single day. May he rest in peace knowing how much he was loved by his family and friends.

One memory in particular comes to mind when thinking of Uncle Stu, probably because Jennifer and Jessica mention it often when seeing watermelons. I know, Uncle Stu, watermelons….. I will make the connection. It was a hot summer day and we were at Diane’s for a pot luck family party. The kids were getting a bit restless so Uncle Stu gave them a watermelon and instructed them to roll it UP the slope with their noses. Not any easy task but hilarious to watch. The children had a great time trying. Needless to say the watermelon did not survive. It should be noted that the watermelon was not brought to the party by Uncle Stu. He will truly be missed, but, hopefully when we think back on him we get a smile on our faces.

My heart is breaking at the news of Stu's passing - my parents were great friends of both Stu and Edna - meeting them back in the 80's during a Florida trip. Stu and Edna became friends of the entire family and visited us here in PA as well as us visiting them in Canada.
There will never be another man with the sense of humor like Stu's. Today I am crying but I can honestly remember laughing so hard at Stu's antics. His dancing with my daughter to a Shania Twain song, attempting to take a group shot with a camera remote with no batteries, his goofy hat with red bushy hair on it and the list goes on and on.
Prayers, peace and love to Edna and family.
Rest in Peace Stu and share a cold one with Bill!
