As you know Susan, Paul was in my Grade 4 class at Moonstone school. I remember him best as the shy, bright young boy, eldest in a wonderful family of brothers and sisters , most of whom I also had the pleasure to teach. Even at that age Paul didn’t have the carefree life of the average 9 year old, but he always had a wee smile and a seriousness for schoolwork, family and life in general. In later years, we had some good chats when he came to the library and though he was struggling somewhat, he still maintained a friendly banter and a quick smile. The last time I saw Paul, he was washing dishes following a supper at Eady Church ( just as you say) and we talked about John, who had recently passed. I am so sorry that Paul had so many hurdles to jump in his life but I am happy he had you and your boys and the Morton family to be with him in the darker times. Hold onto the good memories Susan...I’m sure there are a lot of those.

Our deepest and most sincere condolences to Susan and family in this time of such loss. Paul was an incredible human being and wonderful man. He gave so much of his experiences and knowledge to help others. Paul led the Mood Disorders Society of Canada online discussion forum and through his efforts helped reach and support thousands of Canadians as they worked their way through mental illness and their challenges. Paul's understanding, compassion and empathy in all that he did was a reflection of his wonderful soul. Pauls' leadership will continue to inspire our efforts, as we honor his passion. While words will never fully capture the wide impact he has had on our efforts, we will cherish his memory and kindness always.
On behalf of the MDSC Board of Directors, all our staff and volunteers.

Rich and I give our deepest condolences to Susan and family. Paul was a rock on the mood disorders forum who always had an encouraging word and always made new members feel welcome and heard. He was humble and a great friend to many he had never met in person. Rich and I will cherish the many good memories of our visits with Paul and Susan. Love to all.

To Susan and Family. Our hearts go out to all of you with our sincere condolences. Paul was such an amazing person who overcame so much in his life and used it to help so many others. Being the Chairperson of Telecare for so many years, as well as, all his other volunteer work showed the inner strength which Paul possessed and his strong desire to help others. I wish I could write words to take away your pain and sorrow right now, but, please know that one day you will all be together again for all eternity, never to be parted again. May our Heavenly Father be very near to each of you at this time and may you be filled with His love. We will be praying for all of you!

Susan and Family
I’ve known Paul since we were little kids when our fathers worked together on the department of highways (before Sr. was teaching). Also through high school, then as an opposition player against my husband to yell at in hockey. He always had time to say hi.
I know he had some struggles but Susan you were the one he was so proud of. There were not many sentences that didn’t start with “My wife Susan”. Keep your good memories close to your heart.
You are in our prayers.
