Obituary of Paul Albert Morton
Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paul was born August 29, 1954; died January 22, 2021 in his 67th year. Paul leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Susan (nee Lee); his sons Thomas (Brittany) and David (Jaden); grandchildren Carter, Abbie, Scarlet, and Penelope; father Paul Sr. of Orillia, mother Betty (predeceased); his siblings John (predeceased), Jean (Dan Doctor), Dave (Alison), Steven, and Kevin (Jenny). Remembered by his in-laws, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Paul struggled with mental health issues during his life; and after all the help he received to get well; wanted to give back & help others. From volunteering for Telecare Distress Lines of Greater Simcoe, running a mental health support group from Midland and did an online forum for the Mood Disorders Society of Canada; to washing dishes at Wesley United Church, Eady, the Eady Hall, or anywhere else a hand was needed. Paul received many awards for his volunteer efforts which was highlighted with the Good Citizenship Medal presented by the Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario in January 2018.
Because of regulations due to COVID-19, cremation has taken place. Once the restrictions have been lifted a celebration of Paul’s life will be announced. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Paul may be made to the Wesley United Church, Eady or to Telecare of Greater Simcoe and may be made through the funeral home.
