Obituary of Mabel Jean Dobson
Passed away peacefully in her 101st year on Saturday April 10, 2021, at Spencer House, Orillia where she resided for the past 15 years where she received compassionate loving care of all the staff, and with special thanks to nurse Rita. Jean was happy to live in the country community of Eady for over 55 years. She enjoyed the friendship of neighbours and as a member of the Eady United Church always having the support of the congregation. She is now reunited with her loving husband Bert (1991). Survived by her daughter Heather, daughter Joanne Tinney (Peter), granddaughter Shawna, great granddaughters Savannah and Cassidy, grandson Mark (Melanie), great grandsons Joshua (Jessie) and Lucas (Hannah), and survived by her son Bert (Bernice), granddaughter Tammy Horzempa (Victor) great granddaughter late Faith Smith, great grandson Jacob Smith (Katrina) great great granddaughter Everly Smith, great grandson Joe Smith (Kahlan), grandson Walker Dobson (Dora), great grandson Cody Dobson (Brittany) great great granddaughter Paisley Dobson, great grandson Casey Dobson (Kim), great granddaughter Sydney Dobson, and granddaughter Tina Dobson (Rick), great granddaughter Chelsea Strik, and great grandson Chase Strik (Emily). Also surviving her is brother Joe Gordon and sister-in-law Sharon Gordon. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a graveside service for the immediate family will be held at St. Andrew’s-St. James Cemetery, Orillia. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Jean may be made to the Wesley United Church, Eady and may be made through the funeral home.
