Obituary of Charmaine Marie "Char" Corlis
Passed away with family at her side at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton on Monday January 24, 2022 at the age of 53. Cherished wife and soulmate of Ralph Corlis. Loved mumma of Chelsea and Jarod. Loving sister of Deb Smith, and Darrell Watson. Sister-in-law of LuAnn Watson. Loved aunt of Dawn & Art Korevaar, Dianna & Adrian Vanmourik, Dan Watson (Cassy), David Watson (Carlie), Bruce Watson (Courtney), and Andy Watson. Will be lovingly remembered by her great nieces and nephews and proud to be a great great aunt to 2 great great nephews and 1 great great niece. Dear niece of Jock & Bonnie Vanni, Flora Taylor, Betty Vanni, Ruth Flemming, and Larry & Barb Lalonde. Char will be truly missed and lovingly remembered by her Vanni cousins. She will also be missed by the Corlis family, Dad & Joan, Patricia, Ken, Ruth, Karen, Brenda, and Sandy and also by her many close friends. Char was a long time employee for the County of Haldimand, working in the Finance Department and eventually became the County Treasurer for which she was extremely proud of. Due to the current restrictions Char has been cremated and a celebration to honour her life will be held in the spring once restrictions are eased. As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Char may be made to the Juravinski Hospital “Cancer Centre” or to St. Peter’s Hospital “Palliative Care Unit” and may be made through the funeral home.
