Joanne and I (Jim) will always remember and have fond memories of our former neighbours Sharon and Ed Bourque. I learned and shared alot with him such as how to repair the frozen pipe by septic tank in winter, chatted with a lot of good laughs and loved sitting with us by the bon fire. He would try to learn a few signs in sign language. He always showed a big smile and would wave when we got out or in home.
Our heart goes to Sharon and her family and grandchildren.
We missed ED's memorial service while we were in Las Vegas but our thoughts were with them.
The picture of Ed and me were taken on the last day before we moved to Cambridge.

I knew Ed as an older cousin when he lived in New Toronto, his Tante Ema and Uncle Arthur my parents lived on Lakeshore Drive in those days and when walking to church we would pass where Ed and his wife Sharon lived. I always remembered a large friendly gentle man who always had a smile and big laugh when we would visit or pass by. One memory is way back years ago, when my cousin Ginette was getting married and we were at the reception. That year I was in a long legged cast and was just sitting there. After a little while over came my cousin Ed and said that there was no way I would be sitting there all night and he proceeded to help me up and we had a slow dance at the wedding. I only knew Ed from when I lived at home with my parents but always loved when we or he visited. Our family is a large one and we barely knew/know many of our cousins unfortunately, but thoughts of Ed always bring back fond memories of my childhood. Sincere thoughts and sympathy to Sharon and the family in this time of loss.

So sorry for your loss Sharon and family.
Eddy was my cousin on my Mom’s side. She was Uncle George’s younger sister. My Mother loved all the Bourque Boys and I believe they all at one time or another lived with my parents in New Toronto on 6th Street. Not one weekend would go by that Eddy or one his brothers would not drop into visit their Tante Margarita. They loved her…,
I particularly remember Eddy as he came most often. He’d come in bigger than life with a big smile and, his booming voice. He’d greet his Tante Margarita with love in his mannerism. She absolutely loved seeing Eddy and, the other boys too. She was always busy in the kitchen baking bread, donuts and cookies. She’d have a pot tea, pot of soup or beans on the stove for who ever dropped in. Eddy would tease me endlessly as I was the youngest in the house and an easy target. Sharon would sometimes accompany Eddy and she’d tell him to stop teasing me.
Life for your family will never be the same again but, the memory of your beloved husband, father, granddad and friend will always be with you and comfort you in your time of sadness.
Eddy was a bigger than life kind of guy keep that with you in your hearts.
Deepest condolences,
Mona Landry/Burda
