Obituary of Ronald Herbert "Ron" Tweedy

Passed away suddenly at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Wednesday August 30, 2023, at the age of 71, of Victoria Harbour and formerly of Newmarket.  Beloved and cherished husband of Susan Tweedy.  Loving father of Bobbi Jo Tweedy (Jay Loy), Martin Watson (Ashley), Collen Baker (Nick), and Don Tweedy (Hayley).  Loved grumpa of Kent, Carter, Declan, Kyla, Layton, and Olivia.  Dear brother of Margaret Pitts (Larry), Charlie Tweedy (Pam), and Robert Tweedy (Barb).  Son-in-law of Patricia Niepage.  Will be missed by the Niepage family and by his many nieces and nephews. 

Ron had a huge sense of humour, loved telling stories, involved with the Newmarket Minor Hockey, a referee supervisor for the O.M.H.A., and a member of the Coldwater Curling Club.  After Ron retired, he enjoyed golfing and loved his afternoon naps. 

Ron requested to be cremated and a celebration to honour his life will be held at the Coldwater Curling Club on Saturday September 9th from 1-5pm.   As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Ron may be made to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation, Midland and may be made through the funeral home.
