Obituary of Merna Marguerite McIndoo

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a wonderful mother, mother-in-law and grandmother at the age of 94 on Saturday September 23, 2023 at Champlain Manor, Orillia and formerly of Coldwater. 

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth McIndoo (January 2006). Loved mother of Rayburn  (Regina).  Loving grandmother of James and Thomas.  Predeceased by her sister Kathleen Lye, by her brother Herbert Fell, and by her sister-in-law Wilhelmine Fell.  Will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. 

Merna was a retired teacher with the Simcoe County Board of Education.

The family will honour Merna’s life with a visitation at the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.  The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Coldwater on Thursday September 28^th at 1pm, followed by a reception in the church hall.  Interment Vasey United Cemetery at 3pm.

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Merna may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Coldwater or to the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Foundation, Orillia and may be made through the funeral home.
