Our family has known Barb for forty years. Ralph drove her back and forth to work in Toronto for many years. During that time, she fell in love with our daughters, Tina and Danielle, and often asked if they could come over for a weekend so she could mother them as only Barb knew how to do. The girls loved her for the attention they received from Barb. Ralph and I have many memories of personal family events to which Barb invited us. Her passing is not only a shock, but a true sorrow. Happily, she is now with the Lord. But we will truly miss her.

My husband and I first met Barb at a Lions Club breakfast, and in just a few minutes of conversation, it felt like we had known her forever. Her gentle, kind, and caring personality stood out. As an active member of the Orillia Lions Club, seeing her at events or meetings was always something I looked forward to.
This summer, after mentioning that my in-laws were visiting, Barb and Paul generously invited us to spend a day at their cottage. We exchanged stories, and Barb gave us a tour of her beautiful flowers. My favorite moment was hearing about the duck family that visited her daily for feeding.
Barb had a unique way of making everyone feel welcome, leaving a positive impact on my husband, me, and even my in-laws, visiting from India for the first time. Her contributions to the Lions Club were equally remarkable. The memories we shared with Barb will always hold a special place in my heart. She will be sincerely missed by many.
