Obituary of Irene Eleanore "Sue" Curtis
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Sue at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Sunday June 9, 2024 at the age of 83.
Beloved and cherished wife of Jim. Loved mother of Bill (Wanda), and Pete (Kathy). Devoted grandmother of Samantha, Jay, Jenna, and Daniel. Great grandmother of Ethan and Hailey. Dear sister of Pat Kneeshaw. Predeceased by her parents Stanley & Hilda Dew.
Sue was a photographer and was in her happy place with a camera in her hands or on a tripod photographing nature.
She was also church organist for many years, a Deacon with the Anglican Church of Canada, with her last position at St. George’s Anglican Church, Fairvalley, near Coldwater and was the Food Bank Director in Waubaushene.
Sue will be remembered and missed by all her family, relatives and friends.
Following cremation the family will honour Sue’s life with a service of remembrance at St. George’s Anglican Church, Fairvalley on Monday July 15th at 2pm.
A family graveside service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Coulsons Hill.
As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Sue may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to St. George’s Anglican Church, Fairvalley and may be made through the Funeral Home.
