St. Paul’s.
As you reach the top of the stairs, looking straight ahead the first person you see is George.
George is giving you his salute of welcome.
It’s both a pleasure and a comfort to see him there addressing you every Sunday.
A very fine gentleman indeed.
I love you George.

Dear Marilyn and family. I am so sorry for this big loss in your family. I so enjoyed his dry sense of humor and the conversations we shared and of course the Sunday salute. I know it was a big decision his spirit made to return home to God but he knew you would all be okay without him here but he is just a thought away now. He lives in all of our memories.

So Very Sorry to hear of George’s sudden passing. It was one of our life highlights living next door to George and Marilyn on Columbia Road for almost 10 years. George would always have a pleasant greeting across the lawn, a big smile and most definitely a story too! We will remember George fondly! Our thoughts are with all of you at this most difficult time.
Our Sincere Condolence and Love…. Bernadette & Doug Lougheed

George helped us feel comfortable and happy in the neighborhood after our move to Barrie in 2007. He was always a ray of sunshine greeting us, lending us tools, offering advice which often was, “Ask Marilyn”. He had so much love and respect for Marilyn. He became a true friend to both of us. He always kept an eye on our house and mail when we were away. We will really miss his greetings, our chats and his waves every time we saw him outside. George offered his 1-2-3 almost every time we were under the weather. He had an incredibly upbeat personality and an ability to lift your spirits when you needed it. We spent many wonderful evenings, dinners and outings together with Marilyn and George. We will really miss him. Our deepest sympathy to Marilyn and family.
Bob and Lynn
